A World Partners affiliate meets online twice a month with a group of Mongolian pastors who live in South Korea.
Tsegmed, a World Partners affiliate, recently baptized twenty individuals in Mongolia.
In South Asia, a World Partners staff person reports that he is now training thirteen new language groups to translate the Bible into their heart language. There are already six new translation projects underway due to this staff person and his ministry team.
In Germany, World Partners staff Edward Kim is coaching twenty-five Ukrainian leaders in discipleship.
In South Africa, World Partners staff Stephen Burgstahler reports he and his disciples are regularly meeting in several different social settings, but that “God is leading them to trust Him when it seems like there is little hope. He is coming through for them!”
World Partners staff Jeremy and Mindie Tice were recently introduced to the students and faculty at Bethel University as Bethel’s new Missionaries-in-Residence. The Tices state that they “are preparing to launch some exciting new initiatives working towards sending new graduates to the overseas mission field. We have multiple planning meetings with key players in this initiative.”
World Partners Director of International Development Rick Dugan is currently preparing for a trip to two South Asian countries in October. In one country he will be connecting with a Muslim-background movement of Jesus followers that has not had previous connection with the Western church. In the second country he will also be meeting with leaders of an indigenous movement. Rick will be accompanied on both of these trips by a local ministry partner who encourages and equips believers in these movements.
Good news for missionary finances! World Partners Director of International Development Rick Dugan states, “For some time we've been working to reduce the assessment that staff pay for the operations and services that World Partners provide. Less money toward operations means more money toward the field! Of course, the ministry is only possible because of the operational support that missionaries receive from World Partners. We're excited to say that working with the denomination, significant restructuring and funding sources have allowed us to reduce the administrative fee to 10% while maintaining all the support services such as financial services, retreats, pastoral care, logistics, training, network development, re-entry coaching, etc. This is a significant milestone!”
