January Is Doubly Blessed!

World Partners Adds Two New Missionary Staff!

This month, we celebrate what the Lord Jesus is doing through the ministry of our newest missionary partners. Please pray for them as they transition into their new roles. You can also partner with them using the giving links listed below.

World Partners welcomes Alex Clem as our newest staff member of 2024.

Alex has a teaching degree from Central Michigan University and just finished a Biblical and Theological Studies degree at SETECA (Seminario Teológico Centroamericano).

Alex began following Christ in college. As a freshman, he was given a Gideons Bible, which he began reading after learning that one of his friends had been in a terrible car crash and was in a coma. This began a process of thinking about life and death and whether or not God was real.

“Before this I had always thought that if God were real, I would go to heaven because I was a ‘good person.’ However, when I started reading the Bible, I learned about Jesus and how he came to save us! I realized that I couldn't earn a place in heaven by being a good person, I needed a Savior! I needed Jesus! Only through faith in him could I have eternal life. So, as a freshman at Central Michigan University, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and began a new life.”

Since college, the Lord has been preparing Alex for ministry with the people of Guatemala. He served for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama (where he learned Spanish) and then spent six years on staff at a church in Texas, where he served as a Missions Coordinator. In Guatemala, Alex will be partnering with a local church to make disciples through the building of personal relationships and teaching of God’s word. His greatest goal as a missionary is to love and serve the people well.

Join us in welcoming Alex and praying for his ministry in Guatemala. Alex is listed with our staff on our website at wpartners.org/missionaries.

Welcome Back Ruthanne!

We also welcome back a former missionary this month. Ruthanne will be serving the same overseas people group as before, but under our secure organization. She will continue ministering to immigrants and refugees through ESL tutoring, trauma care, and discipleship. She partners with local churches in the Houston area to strengthen and disciple believers and prepare them to return to their home countries.

Join us in welcoming back Ruthanne and praying for her ministry with displaced people groups. Ruthanne is listed on our website at wpartners.org/missionaries.
