CLAIM YOUR CAMPUS

Attention youth pastors/leaders. Although it seems the summer break has just begun, it is not too early to plan for the Fall and begin to equip your students to pray for their respective school campuses. The school campus is one of the most influential places in a student’s life. According to CYC, 9,000 hours are spent on campus during middle school and high school. 50% of a student’s time during the school year is spent on campus.

CYC began with eight high school students, meeting weekly to pray, in the largest public high school in the state of Michigan. Since then CYC has been presented to 250,000 students and trained more than 15,000 students to claim their campus through prayer.

In case students are unsure what to pray, CYC has a simple prayer strategy:

GRACE: Titus 2:11 - For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

  1. Compassionate Christ Followers

  2. Increasing Prayer for Schools

  3. Authentic Christ Followers

  4. Students Sharing the Gospel

  5. Unity Among Christ Followers

PEACE: Hebrews 12:14 - Pursue peace with everyone and holiness without it, no one will see the Lord.

  1. Kindness Between Students

  2. Racial Equality

  3. End to Gossip

  4. End to Bullying

  5. Respect Toward School Staff

JUSTICE: Psalm 37:28 -For the Lord loves justice and will not abandon His faithful ones.

  1. Guidance for School Staff

  2. Positive Educational Environment

  3. Protection for Schools

  4. Physical Health

  5. End to Suicide

MERCY: Lamentations 3:22 - Because of the Lord's faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end.

  1. Freedom from Depression

  2. Freedom from Abuse

  3. Freedom from Substance Abuse

  4. Freedom from Addictions

  5. Freedom from Worry

Check out the CYC web site for more information on how to involve your students in weekly prayer times on their school campus. Most renewal movements have begun among young people. Perhaps God would use your students to be instruments of transformation in your local school. https://claimyourcampus.com/
