blessing Bethel - May 19-24
Dear friend of Bethel University,
I am retiring from full-time ministry in the Missionary Church and was wondering what I could do to continue serving the Lord without being paid for it. I wondered how I could be a blessing to the school I love: Bethel University. Three of my daughters attended there, and I completed my Master of Ministry there, too.
I love what the Spirit of God is doing on campus in the students and through the wonderful staff! I love work projects, too! So, why not develop a team that would give their time and talents to do some of those at Bethel?!
So here is my invitation: Would you consider becoming a part of the "Bless Bethel Team,” or “BB Team” this spring?
What is the BB Team?
It’s a group of individuals who will be joining together to use their time and talents to serve the Bethel University campus May 19-24. Throughout the week, there will be a variety of projects to work on that could use some extra sweat equity. Projects may include things like painting, siding, carpentry and landscaping.
What will the week look like?
The week will begin on Sunday, May 19, at 6 pm and wrap up Friday, May 24. The cost is just $50/person — and includes meals and lodging in residence halls if needed. Time will be built in for rest, devotions and catching up with Bethel friends. (I will be 67 by May, so I will make sure we have sufficient break times scheduled and kept!)
Who should attend?
This opportunity is open to men and women of all ages and experience levels. You might also consider bringing your son or daughter and/or grandchildren if you think they could be beneficial to the team and be blessed by the experience of serving with you. This would be a wonderful opportunity to be involved in life-on-life discipling the next generation! AND they’ll get to love Bethel! You could even make this into a “mission trip” for your church and bring a team of like-minded sisters and brothers.
